I’m Colin Gayer. My Mental Fitness exists because the kind of support I needed - work that trains both body and mind, delivered by someone who truly understands both - didn’t exist. Now it does.
I am qualified psychotherapist and certified personal trainer who has lived the recovery journey. That means our work goes deeper than a standard PT session — I understand what’s happening in your mind as well as your body, because I’ve been there.
Every session is 1-to-1, private and built entirely around you. No gym floor. No generic programmes. Just real, tailored work in a confidential space where you can show up exactly as you are. So you can build consistency, take control, and create a life that actually holds together.
What is Mental Fitness?
Physical fitness gets most of the attention. We count steps, track workouts, measure progress. But your mind needs the same consistent focus—and most people were never taught how to train it.
Mental fitness isn’t just therapy, and it’s not just exercise. It’s the daily practice of building resilience, managing stress, understanding your patterns, and developing habits that hold up when life gets hard.
At My Mental Fitness, we train both together—because a strong body with a struggling mind, or a clear mind in a neglected body, will only take you so far. Real wellbeing is built on both. That’s what we do here.

How it works
There are two ways to work with me — both are 1:1, both are built entirely around you.
Personal Training Private 1:1 PT sessions in Ballincollig. Strength, fitness and conditioning — with mental health at the centre of everything we do. No gym floor, no generic plans. Just real training in a private space, designed around you.
The Reset Programme A 12-week programme combining personal training and psychotherapy-informed coaching. For people who feel like life is off track and want to change that — for good.
My story
